Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Leader to join our team as Vice President of Finance and Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial analysis and operations, and overseeing all budgeting activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain sound, transparent budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring practices to identify opportunities for revenue optimization and expense management.
  • Oversee all financial analysis and operations activities, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulatory agencies.
  • Develop and execute financial strategies, overseeing all budgeting activities, and ensuring company compliance with federal and state regulatory agencies.
  • Serve as the company liaison and lead person responsible for activities with external business partners, including independent auditors and actuaries.
  • Oversee and have management responsibility for coordinating actuarial services, including services required to obtain the annual Actuarial Opinion and Actuarial Memorandum.
  • Oversee and have management responsibility for all regulatory reporting requirements and audits, including external reporting to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), CMS, the DBR, and EOHHS.
  • Oversee and have management responsibility for the company's Accountable Entity (AE) Program, including Total Cost of Care (TCOC) development, analysis, and performance analysis.
  • Oversee and have management responsibility for revenue recognition for the company, including validation of revenue received from external sources to internal systems.
  • Oversee and have management responsibility for the company's tax filings, including preparation of the annual 990 Tax Return in accordance with Internal Revenue Service guidelines.
  • Oversee and have management responsibility for the company's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash and investment management.
Qualifications
  • Excellent and extensive senior-level financial and general management experience with significant leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Ten (10) years progressively increasing senior-level performance within a managed care environment or in a high-profile financial position at a well-respected organization or minimum of six (6) years progressively increasing senior-level performance within a managed care environment or in a high-profile financial position at a well-respected organization with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective change agent, with experience leading an organization through growth or transition.
  • Ability to influence strategic business decisions by providing financial guidance to enterprise committees and projects.
  • An understanding of the dynamic nature of the current healthcare industry, and how changes in federal and state policy and regulation impact Neighborhood.
  • A hands-on, unpretentious style with the ability to build and maintain relationships quickly and naturally, and thrive on working with all functional groups within the organization in a highly visible role.
  • Experience working with Medicaid and Medicare funding as well as Commercial Products.
  • Exceptional organizational management, leadership, and development skills, problem-solving, planning, priority setting, and interdepartmental program implementation.
  • The ability to think strategically in order to position Neighborhood for future growth.
  • Broad-based technical background in financial concepts, including thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, insurance industry accounting practices, and controls.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead, coach, develop, and mentor all associates throughout the organization.
