Job Summary

The Chief Therapeutic Radiologic Tech RAD Onc/Per Diem is responsible for leading the Radiation Oncology department and providing direct supervision to radiation therapy technologists. This role requires a strong understanding of radiation therapy equipment, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Radiation Oncology department and provide direct supervision to radiation therapy technologists
  • Monitor patient workflow and ensure efficient treatment delivery
  • Provide education and training to radiation therapy technologists as needed
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Medical Physics to ensure departmental goals are met
  • Develop and maintain schedules for radiation therapy technologists
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Therapy Technology
  • ARRT credentialed as a registered radiation therapy technologist
  • Current Radiology license in the State of New Mexico
  • Minimum seven years of experience in radiation therapy
Working Conditions

This role requires working irregular hours, including evenings and weekends. The Chief Therapeutic Radiologic Tech RAD Onc/Per Diem will be exposed to infectious diseases and x-rays, and must be able to handle emergency situations.
