We are looking for a dedicated Certified Dietary Manager to oversee our food service operations within our healthcare environment.

The Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) will play a crucial role in managing the daily functions of the food service department, ensuring compliance with both facility policies and applicable federal and state regulations. This position requires strong leadership to maintain high standards of food quality and safety while meeting the expectations of our clients.

Key Responsibilities of the Certified Dietary Manager (CDM):

  • Designing and executing menus that fulfill the nutritional requirements of our residents while ensuring variety and quality.
  • Coordinating the procurement, receipt, and storage of food items in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Guaranteeing that food preparation adheres to safe and hygienic practices.
  • Overseeing kitchen operations, including cleanliness and maintenance protocols.
  • Managing the department's financial resources, analyzing food costs, and adjusting menus to align with budgetary constraints.
  • Training and supervising staff in proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation methods.
  • Maintaining precise records of meal counts and food cost documentation.
  • Engaging with residents and their families to address any dietary concerns or needs.
  • Formulating and enforcing policies and procedures for the dietary department in line with established standards.

Qualifications for the Certified Dietary Manager (CDM):

  • Completion of a Dietary Manager's Program or a 2-year or 4-year food service degree.
  • Successful passing of the CDM Credentialing Exam with current certification.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in food service management.
  • Proven ability to motivate, coach, and oversee food service staff.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations affecting dietary standards.
