Your role and responsibilities

  • AV Technology Integration: Identify and implement audiovisual solutions (displays, audio systems, projectors, control systems, etc.) that meet project specifications.
  • Smooth Integration: Guarantee seamless interaction between audio and video components, configure control systems, and ensure dependable network connections.
  • Equipment Setup: Optimize room acoustics, speaker arrangement, display positioning, and cable management for peak performance.
  • Stay Informed: Keep abreast of industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in AV system design and integration.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain design specifications, technical schematics, and project documentation.
  • Troubleshooting and Quality Assurance: Assist the project team during system testing and commissioning phases.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with project managers, technicians, vendors, and suppliers to ensure effective AV system integration.
  • Leadership: Offer guidance to temporary teams and serve as an escalation point for AV-related challenges.
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 to 5 years in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience as an AV Architect or in a similar capacity, showcasing a strong portfolio of successful AV system designs and implementations.
  • Proven expertise in Teams Meeting Rooms implementations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of audiovisual technologies, including displays, projectors, sound systems, video conferencing solutions, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in AV system design software.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, such as Infocomm, CEDIA, and AVIXA.
  • Preferred: Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with team members and vendors.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as necessary (15 percent).
  • Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
