About the Job

We're seeking a highly skilled Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to join our team at SAS. As a key member of our Global Technology Practice, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy cloud-based architectures for customers, leveraging expertise in cloud platforms and SAS technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Product Marketing, to ensure seamless sales engagements and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sales teams, to provide expert guidance on architectural components and sales strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud architecture and SAS Viya, providing feedback and insights to inform product development and sales strategies.
  • Deliver high-quality solution demonstrations and presentations, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of SAS solutions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering, project leadership, application development, technical architecture, and/or customer support.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms, including design and architecture principles.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with SAS technology and architecture is preferred, along with a solid understanding of sales strategies and cycles.
  • Excellent decision-making abilities, combined with effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes for orchestration and management of containerized applications.
  • Experience with containerization tools, such as Docker, and Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Understanding of microservices design principles and best practices.
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar technologies.
