Midwestern Electric is a leading provider of electrical services in the commercial, industrial, and transportation sectors. We specialize in working directly with customers to provide complete in-house electrical contracting services. In addition, we offer maintenance and installation services for traffic signals, streetlights, and intelligent transport systems for government clients, including the Indiana Department of Transportation and local municipalities.

Job Summary

The Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing and streamlining administrative functions, managing office staff, and ensuring efficient workflow. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with exceptional organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Answer phones professionally, route calls efficiently, manage office supplies, and maintain records of technology agreements.
  • Staff Management: Lead and supervise office staff, promote a positive and productive working environment, and facilitate new employee orientation.
  • Operational Efficiency: Oversee daily office operations, ensure timely reordering and organization of office supplies, and perform or facilitate maintenance of all office equipment.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Review and manage compliance of subcontract documentation, insurance requirements, and bonds; request COI's from insurance company; and maintain accurate and organized filing systems.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Provide administrative support to Construction Admins and management team, facilitate effective communication between field and office staff, and ensure all parties are informed and aligned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of office management experience within the construction industry, including experience in managing staff.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and analytical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); and ability to create insightful charts and graphs to analyze data effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; troubleshooting and technical skills; and ability to handle multiple priorities accurately and calmly while meeting deadlines.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $ $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, our benefits package includes comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
