Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Residential Aide to join our team. As a key member of our residential care team, you will provide support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other service providers
  • Instruct and support individuals in daily living skills, including cleaning, meal preparation, and food shopping
  • Prepare meals according to developed menus and protocols
  • Assist individuals in developing daily living skills by identifying and meeting social, environmental, and healthcare needs
  • Transport individuals and provide mobility training to assist with appointments and community activities
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and program meetings as instructed
  • Ensure compliance with program requirements, environment-specific rules, and regulations from monitoring entities
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience working in a residential setting with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • Experience working with individuals who are medically fragile or have physical limitations
