Job Summary

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the profitable sales of CATERPILLAR and Allied Equipment for a specified region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and management, with experience in the construction equipment industry. The Regional Sales Manager will oversee the sales planning process, developing sales strategies and tactics to support short and long-range goals. Additionally, they will provide hands-on leadership to the sales staff, ensuring adequate progress towards sales goals and objectives. The Regional Sales Manager will also maintain a market awareness level to maximize the effectiveness of the field sales staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees the sales planning process, developing sales strategies and tactics to support short and long-range goals.
• Provides hands-on leadership to the sales staff, ensuring adequate progress towards sales goals and objectives.
• Maintains a market awareness level to maximize the effectiveness of the field sales staff.
• Interfaces with factory representatives to ensure competitive pricing, delivery, specifications, and application requirements.

Requirements

• 10 years minimum experience in construction equipment sales with at least 3 years in providing management leadership to other sales professionals.
• A four-year degree, preferably in business or marketing.
• Intermediate skill level in using PC software, primarily MS Word, Excel, and Access.
