Job Overview

K2 Staffing is seeking a dedicated Safety Compliance Coordinator to enhance safety measures within our organization. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in promoting a culture of safety and health across the workplace, ensuring that all safety protocols and regulations are effectively implemented and adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the safety initiatives, fostering a proactive approach to safety enhancements.
  • Design and conduct comprehensive safety training programs for all personnel, including field and office staff.
  • Carry out thorough investigations of accidents and incidents, ensuring timely reporting and follow-up with management.
  • Facilitate the completion and communication of corrective actions stemming from safety committee discussions.
  • Regularly review and revise safety policies and procedures to align with organizational objectives and compliance standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date Hazard Communication (Hazcom) protocols and ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are current.
  • Coordinate necessary Industrial Hygiene assessments, including evaluations of air quality, noise levels, and ergonomic practices.
  • Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols are established for all new operations and equipment.
  • Review and manage safety documentation, including safety committee minutes, inspection reports, and incident reports.
  • Keep accurate records of employee training, safety inspections, and remediation of unsafe conditions, ensuring proper documentation is submitted for corporate records.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and hazardous material assessments.
  • Oversee annual updates to the safety program, including the Safety Manual and Emergency Procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

  • Standard working hours with occasional training on different shifts.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
  • Experience in formal problem-solving and root-cause analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while managing multiple tasks and projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with Benchmark operations is advantageous.
  • Basic math and data analysis capabilities.
  • Knowledge of CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP), and First Aid protocols.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental science, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) within a manufacturing context is preferred.
