Under the supervision of the Supervisor Medical Technologist, the Anatomic Pathology Coordinator provides clinical support to the pathologists, histotechnologists, cytotechnologists, and other healthcare workers by coordinating the receipt, processing, result inquiries, and send-out of anatomic pathology specimens as well as coordinating the operations of the morgue.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the receipt and processing of anatomic pathology specimens.
  • Provide clinical support to pathologists, histotechnologists, cytotechnologists, and other healthcare workers.
  • Coordinate the operations of the morgue.

Requirements:
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Requires a minimum of six (6) months of clinical laboratory experience.
  • Requires knowledge of anatomic pathology operations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center.
  • Excellent time management skills and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
