Position Highlights

The work atmosphere is dynamic and demanding.

New hires are entitled to 15 days of paid time off from the outset.

JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this role is to safely transport materials from client locations to designated processing or disposal sites. This includes loading and unloading materials using commercial trucks and/or heavy/agricultural machinery, which may involve tankers and end dump trailers in off-road settings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain a daily truck log and submit mileage reports at the end of each day.
  2. Act as a brand representative in all interactions with clients and the public.
  3. Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the truck and equipment.
  4. Adhere to all DOT, state, local, and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  5. Operate the truck and equipment safely at all times.
  6. Load, unload, and ensure timely delivery of materials to approved destinations.
  7. Travel between job sites or from plant to job site, which may require overnight stays.
  8. Clean bio-solids from the truck and equipment before leaving the field or landfill.
  9. Assist with shop cleanup, maintenance, and setup of equipment/tools.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  1. Proficient in backing up trucks and equipment.
  2. Ability to memorize routes effectively.
  3. Capable of understanding and executing instructions.
  4. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, agencies, and the public.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Willingness to work varying shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
  7. Ability to operate trucks and equipment safely.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  2. Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B is mandatory.
  3. A minimum of 3 years of roll-off experience is preferred.
  4. Must have a clean driving record with no serious violations in the past 5 years or DWI/DUI in the last 10 years.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Job involves sitting, climbing, balancing, reaching, standing, walking, lifting up to 75 lbs., and various sensory activities.
  2. Work is conducted outdoors with exposure to environmental conditions.
  3. May be subject to atmospheric conditions affecting respiratory or skin health.
  4. Potential hazards include proximity to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical currents, and exposure to high heat or bio-solids.
