Job Summary:

Sysco is seeking a skilled Local Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering products to our customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Operate a straight truck and navigate through various traffic and weather conditions
  • Load and unload products from the truck, using a hand cart or other equipment as needed
  • Verify delivery of products with customers and obtain signatures
  • Communicate with management and other team members to resolve any issues or discrepancies
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition
  • Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class B (Class A preferred)
  • One year of route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck
  • Ability to read and understand English
  • Ability to lift, push, or move products that weigh up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
