Atrium Health Pineville has been a cornerstone of care since its inception in 1987, serving the South Charlotte, Ballantyne, Fort Mill, Rock Hill, and surrounding communities. Over the years, we have expanded our facilities and services to cater to the growing needs of our population. From our humble beginnings as a small hospital on former farmland, we have transformed into a significant healthcare center, providing a higher standard of care than any other facility in the vicinity.

Our facility boasts 12 operating rooms, where we conduct a variety of procedures including general surgery, orthopedics, OBGYN, urology, vascular, neuro/spine, robotics, cardiothoracic, ENT, and plastics, among others. The operating room at Pineville fosters an exceptional teamwork atmosphere, where we take pride in our positive culture and collaborative approach to care.

Job Responsibilities
The RN Clinical Nurse I is responsible for delivering professional nursing care through proficient assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation, in line with facility or departmental policies and protocols under the guidance of the nursing leadership. This role also involves maintaining a safe working environment and executing all job responsibilities safely. The nurse is expected to uphold clinical and professional competency relevant to the patient population served.

  • Gather data relevant to the healthcare consumer's health or situation, analyzing it to identify actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
  • Determine expected outcomes for a tailored plan based on the healthcare consumer's needs.
  • Formulate a plan that outlines strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Execute the established plan, coordinating care delivery, and employing strategies to promote health and safety.
  • Delegate care responsibilities to appropriate healthcare personnel in accordance with legal and policy guidelines.
  • Assess progress towards achieving goals and outcomes.
  • Practice in a manner that respects cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
  • Communicate effectively across all areas of practice.
  • Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in nursing practice.
  • Exhibit leadership within the professional practice environment.
  • Incorporate evidence and research findings into nursing practice.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of quality nursing practices.
  • Evaluate personal and others' nursing practices against professional standards and regulations.
  • Utilize appropriate resources to plan, deliver, and maintain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and financially responsible.

  • Encourage shared governance and participation in facility decision-making processes, fostering research that positively impacts clinical outcomes.

Physical Requirements
This position requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. The ability to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds is necessary for handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Proficiency in English communication is essential. Candidates must possess intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch, along with finger dexterity. Critical thinking skills and the ability to concentrate are vital, as is the capacity to respond swiftly to changes in patient or unit conditions. Physical Abilities Testing is required.

Qualifications
Applicants must be graduates of an accredited School of Nursing, with a BSN preferred. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification according to the American Heart Association is required. A current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of practice is mandatory. For those declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as their primary residence, licensure requirements in their home state must be met; for Non-National License Compact states, a current RN license or temporary license is required in the state of employment.
