We are currently seeking a Cloud Security Lead Specialist to join our team.

The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) will primarily be a part of the Cybersecurity Service Security Team. This position is responsible for ensuring that the operational security posture is effectively maintained for the information systems or programs. The ISSO will also act as the main advisor to the Authorizing Official and Information System Owner regarding all security-related matters of the information system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the security control compliance of assigned information systems with federal requirements and the client's monitoring strategy.
  • Manage emerging and established risks associated with the administration and utilization of assigned information systems.
  • Collaborate with the client's Cybersecurity Unit to ensure compliance and authorization to operate (ATO) for information systems.
  • Ensure that systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with the policies outlined in the approved security authorization package.
  • Conduct annual assessments to verify compliance with the client's policies and standards.
  • Participate as a member of the Configuration Control Board (CCB) to ensure proper configuration management for Cybersecurity-relevant software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Ensure that information system security requirements are integrated throughout all phases of the information systems lifecycle.
  • Establish and review audit trails, ensuring their availability while retaining audit logs in accordance with relevant policies.
  • Generate and interpret documentation necessary to address items detailed within the Cybersecurity Assessment and Management (CSAM).
  • Work collaboratively within a team to provide sound technical guidance in adherence to cybersecurity industry best practices and the client's monitoring strategy.
  • Analyze collected data to identify vulnerabilities and potential exploitation risks, effectively presenting findings and recommendations to system owners or leadership as needed.
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms to track and detail the demands, efforts, and challenges in achieving the goals of the client's information system monitoring strategy.
  • Support the integration, testing, operations, and maintenance of systems security.
  • Develop, update, and maintain internal Standard Operating Procedures for all assigned functions.
  • Align business processes and information technology strategies with the conditions of the functional environment and establish effective performance measures.
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of planning processes and/or systems at the enterprise level, including both strategic and operational activities.
  • Provide system operation support and manage hardware and software inventory.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Information Technology Management, Business, or a related discipline.
    • Education Equivalency: High School Diploma + 4 additional years of experience = Associate's Degree; Associate's Degree + 4 additional years of experience = Bachelor's Degree; Bachelor's Degree + 4 additional years of experience = Master's Degree.
  • At least 8 years of experience in any combination of Information Security, cybersecurity, system administration, or engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as an ISSO, security analyst, or security engineer.
  • At least 10 years of experience with program security responsibilities, including NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), audit log reviews, system monitoring, and security policies.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in relevant vertical disciplines such as law enforcement, anti-terrorism, or banking.
  • Must be eligible for a Top-Secret clearance, if required.

  • AWS Certified Developer - Associate.
  • CompTIA Cloud+.
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.
  • Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK).
  • CCNA Cloud (Cisco).
  • CCNP Cloud (Cisco).
  • Experience with Fed Ramp.
