We are seeking a Cloud Security Application Specialist to ensure that our services, applications, and websites adhere to the highest security benchmarks.


Key Responsibilities:

A Day in the Life:

As a Cloud Security Application Specialist, your daily activities will revolve around ensuring the integrity of Amazon's systems. This includes performing application security reviews to detect vulnerabilities in software applications, conducting penetration tests to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures, and providing training to internal teams to elevate their understanding of security best practices.

You will also be responsible for developing security guidance documentation, creating tools to automate security processes, and delivering security metrics to stakeholders, all while striving to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of programming experience in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, or similar object-oriented languages
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Understanding of networking protocols including HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security
  • Familiarity with AWS products and services
