Job Title: Gypsum Wallboard Development Associate

Apex Systems is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Gypsum Wallboard Development Associate to join our team in Charlotte, NC. As a member of our Technology Development Program (TDP), you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in wallboard science and testing fundamentals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing technical/lab services independently and in a timely manner. Adaptability and responsiveness to changing priorities are essential in this role, as well as the ability to engage with colleagues and managers to understand project goals, requirements, and timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical/lab services and support.
  • Lab maintenance and organization.
  • Facility support and maintenance.
  • Travel to plant trials.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Chemistry, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or an Applied Sciences program.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication, planning, and work organization.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment and lift 50 lb panels/buckets.
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Estimated Salary: $22/hour
