Job Title: Senior Medical Planner/ Healthcare Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Medical Planner/ Healthcare Architect to join our team at Arcadis. As a key member of our Global Architecture & Urbanism Division, you will be responsible for leading medical planning teams and providing expertise to collaborate with our firm-wide healthcare practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead medical planning teams and provide expertise to collaborate with the firm-wide healthcare practice
  • Communicate planning concepts to project teams, both verbally and through graphic and written representation
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the project delivery process for mid-to-large scale domestic healthcare projects
  • Collaborate with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations
  • Assist in the development of standards that describe the systems, processes, and people of the Healthcare practice
  • Participate and lead discussions in user groups to collect medical planning program needs for healthcare facilities
  • Manage technical development, including detailing, quality control, and overseeing drawing support staff in the design and planning of various-sized medical and healthcare facilities
  • Evaluate code compliance
  • Facilitate project scheduling and staffing in conjunction with project managers
  • Actively seek new knowledge in the design and planning of medical and healthcare facilities
  • Direct issue resolution and enhance project quality in reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to business development by establishing confidence with clients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare medical planning, with experience in all forms of healthcare from master planning to detailed designs for radiology/MRI/CT, acute care/med surge patient areas, operating rooms, and OR support spaces
  • Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of sustainable principles and LEED accreditation
  • Preferably, a professional Architect licensure
