SUMMARY: In alignment with the core values and mission of Oakbridge Insurance Agency, the Employee Benefits Account Executive plays a pivotal role in managing client relationships within the employee benefits sector. This position involves establishing strong connections with both existing and prospective clients, assessing their insurance requirements, and orchestrating the implementation of benefit plans tailored to those needs. The primary objective is to deliver effective solutions that foster a positive relationship between clients and the agency.
This role specifically targets the small group market, focusing on organizations with 2-50 employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversee the marketing strategy for both new and renewal business opportunities.
· Evaluate plan alternatives; juxtapose current offerings with market results.
· Analyze data provided by various insurance carriers.
· Negotiate pricing and plan options.
· Suggest products that align with clients' financial constraints, objectives, and benefits philosophy.
· Collaborate with agency brokers to identify innovative and effective benefit solutions.
· Develop a structured enrollment timeline for assigned accounts.
· Coordinate tailored enrollment strategies for clients.
· Conduct group meetings, whether in-person or via call center enrollments.
· Personalize enrollment materials and digital solutions.
· Ensure all selected enrollment materials are accurately implemented with carriers.
· Address complex service requests from employers, including billing, claims, eligibility, and compliance inquiries.
· Supervise the creation, execution, and precision of contracts, benefits summaries, and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs).
· Stay informed on industry trends, new product developments, legislative changes, and technological advancements.
· Respond promptly to inquiries from clients, carriers, and brokers.
· Advise clients on compliance matters.
· Act as the primary liaison among clients, carriers, and brokers on a daily basis.
· Cultivate and maintain client relationships at all organizational levels.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven ability to research, analyze, and resolve issues independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Skills in planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, and adapting in a collaborative environment.
- A sense of urgency in completing tasks.
- Proficient negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Outstanding customer service, organizational, and time management capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of medical, dental, vision, life, and disability income coverages, products, and industry operations.
- Life and Health Insurance License (to be obtained within 90 days).
