Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for procuring materials that meet specified technical requirements, pricing, delivery timelines, and contractual terms. Your daily tasks will include ensuring that purchasing activities are in compliance with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will leverage your expertise to identify potential new suppliers in collaboration with the relevant category team. This position is based on-site. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Initiating Purchase Orders in the system in accordance with purchase requisitions and established procedures, confirming delivery with suppliers, and monitoring supplier performance against Purchase Order requirements.
• Negotiating contracts with primary suppliers and periodically updating pricing and terms.
• Proposing frame agreements to management and executing them upon approval.
• Analyzing and assessing bids to determine the best value.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Experience with ERP systems is required, preferably SAP.
- At least 2 years of experience in purchasing or sourcing is preferred.
- Familiarity with e-Business and e-Procurement systems.
- Knowledge of SAP AMSAP and Torque.
- Understanding of ABB initiatives related to SAP Ariba and CFIN/FTP.
- Candidates must possess valid work authorization to be employed by ABB in the US.
