Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our sleep center, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive sleep testing procedures, interventions, and data analysis under the general supervision of the Lead Sleep Technologist, Clinical Lab Manager, or Medical Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Review patient history and verify medical study orders
  • Follow sleep center protocols related to sleep studies
  • Provide age-appropriate patient education
  • Select and calibrate equipment for testing
  • Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards
  • Perform routine positive airway pressure mask fitting and desensitization
  • Implement appropriate interventions, including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention
  • Analyze sleep study data and prepare reports for provider interpretation
  • Navigate EMR and sleep data software platforms
  • Perform duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
Requirements:
  • H.S. Diploma/GED, required
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a clinical sleep laboratory setting, required
  • Associate's degree in Health/Science-related field, preferred
  • BCLS, required
  • RPSGT or RST sleep registry credential, required
