This Per Diem position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with top clinical, technical, and business professionals across all disciplines.

The registered sleep technologist performs comprehensive sleep testing procedures, interventions, and data analysis under the general supervision of the Lead Sleep Technologist, Clinical Lab Manager, or Medical Director.

The ideal candidate will be credentialed in sleep technology through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM).

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing patient history and verifying medical study orders
  • Following sleep center protocols related to sleep studies
  • Providing age-appropriate patient education
  • Selecting appropriate equipment and calibrating for testing
  • Applying electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards
  • Performing routine positive airway pressure mask fitting and desensitization
  • Implementing appropriate interventions, including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention
  • Demonstrating knowledge of in-lab and out-of-center sleep testing protocols
  • Analyzing sleep study data and preparing reports for provider interpretation
  • Navigating EMR and sleep data software platforms
  • Performing duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
