GENERAL OVERVIEW
The Aquatic Facility Manager is tasked with overseeing the pool amenities and personnel. The role is pivotal in ensuring guest satisfaction through the maintenance of a pristine and secure environment, while also educating guests on emergency exits and protocols. Demonstrating lifeguard expertise and ensuring compliance with pool safety standards is essential.

PRIMARY DUTIES
- Welcome all visitors courteously, adhering to departmental standards.
- Take charge of assigned shifts, contributing to overall management.
- Ensure operational procedures, checklists, and guidelines are executed to the highest standard.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the shift.
- Supervise the aquatic area, assist swimmers in distress, and provide necessary lifesaving first aid when required.
- Keep all qualifications and certifications of pool staff up to date, attending regular training sessions as mandated by management.
- Plan, develop, and coordinate pool-related activities.

FACILITY MANAGEMENT
- Conduct daily inspections of facilities and equipment, documenting and initiating work orders for repairs as needed.
- Ensure First Aid supplies are readily available and in good condition.
- Comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of facilities; perform general pool cleaning and maintenance tasks.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE
- Respond swiftly and effectively in emergencies, following established protocols.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to guide staff.
- Observe team performance and foster a work environment that encourages professional growth.

GUEST INTERACTION
- Address guest inquiries positively and articulately, providing accurate information about pool services.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels to ensure smooth pool operations, assigning tasks to team members as necessary.

TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Assist in the recruitment, screening, and training of new staff.
- Manage team performance, providing orientation and necessary training; coach and motivate employees, addressing any performance issues as needed.
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members.

WORKPLACE CULTURE
- Promote effective employee relations, fostering a safe and ethical work environment.
- Maintain open communication channels to address and resolve employee concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED; one year of relevant experience in a pool or resort environment preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate operational concerns and suggestions.
- Basic mathematical skills for managing supplies and operational needs.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be CPR certified and able to obtain a Class A gaming license.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays is essential.
- Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to manage deadlines are required.
