Job Summary

Carter's is seeking a Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a positive store environment, and executing operational activities to drive sales and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Focus:
    • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with locating merchandise, informing them of promotions, and revisiting frequently to ensure a positive shopping experience.
    • Confidently and proactively resolve customer issues and balance multiple customers in a busy retail environment.
    • Expedites point of sale transactions and completes floor replenishment and shipment as needed.
  • Brand Execution:
    • Ensure store visual standards are set to company direction and execute replenishment process, recover, and clean the sales floor to company standard.
    • Complete merchandise floor sets according to visual standards and directives and maintain solid product knowledge and merchandise presentation.
    • Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program with customers.
  • Drive Growth:
    • Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a positive experience for customers and team.
    • Meet or exceed company productivity standards for all operational processes and achieve daily goals as established by management.
  • Team Development:
    • Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with all members of the team and adapt performing assignments as requested.
    • Support management direction of store, support, train, and coach others to success, and adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated customer engagement skills and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred and ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
  • Retail/specialty apparel knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis, stand for long periods of time, climb up and down a ladder, and constant walking and standing.
Availability
  • Availability to meet the needs of the business that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Any availability changes must be approved by the Store Manager and will be approved based on business needs.
  • Scheduled working shifts from 3-8 hours in length (applicable state laws apply).
