Job Description

Horning Management Company, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Property Manager to join our team. As a key member of our property operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring the success of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site teams and ensure excellent customer service.
  • Prepare work schedules and monitor leasing activity.
  • Approve applications and sign leases as needed.
  • Manage lease renewals, NTV, and move-out processes.
  • Perform move-out inspections and complete move-out transmittals.
  • Prepare collection paperwork and ensure accurate advertising.
  • Provide training and support to site teams.
  • Respond to resident concerns and follow up on maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Work with the Service Manager to facilitate turnover processes and reduce rent loss.
  • Prepare reports and oversee expenses.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of property management, leasing, or general accounting experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of tax credit and HUD experience.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to build and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in Yardi Voyager and Nexus.
  • Full Microsoft Office proficiency.
