Customer Support Advocate - General Mills

Overview

General Mills is on the lookout for a dedicated Advocate to join our Pet Parent Care team. This role is primarily focused on addressing and resolving inquiries related to our pet products and loyalty programs. You will engage with both consumers and partners, ensuring that every interaction is handled with professionalism and care, fostering loyalty and satisfaction with our offerings.

Your Impact

By effectively managing customer interactions, you will contribute to enhancing brand loyalty and retention. Your timely responses to inquiries will encourage ongoing relationships with our customers, and your ability to resolve issues efficiently will minimize the need for further contacts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a passionate advocate for pet parents, delivering exceptional experiences that leave both pets and their owners highly satisfied.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills to de-escalate situations and address potential concerns effectively.
  • Document all relevant information from customer interactions in our systems accurately.
  • Manage requests through our internal systems promptly, ensuring all inquiries are addressed with the necessary information.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and policies through ongoing training and collaboration with internal teams.
  • Identify and report any significant trends or issues to the appropriate team members.
  • Ensure closure on customer issues by following up as needed.
  • Meet established performance standards for efficiency and quality consistently.
  • Handle a high volume of communications from pet parents through various channels.
  • Work independently while maintaining a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to learn and utilize internal tools effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflicts positively.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple demands.
