Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Specialist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our oncology department, you will play a critical role in coordinating appointments, maintaining daily reports, and providing exceptional support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate appointments and scheduling for patients across various clinics and disease groups
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily reports, including No Show, Cancel Visit, and Reschedule reports
  • Provide professional assistance to physicians, nursing staff, and management teams
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of departmental and program standards
  • Collaborate with other disease groups to ensure seamless coordination and coverage
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to voicemails in a timely and professional manner
  • Attend daily huddles and monthly staff meetings to stay informed and contribute to team discussions
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Two years of clerical or administrative experience; one year of experience may be substituted with an Associate's degree
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn and master scheduling systems and software
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
