Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist Lead to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for leading a team of mammography technologists and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide guidance and oversight to mammography technologists, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties effectively.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high standards of quality in mammography procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
  • Staff Development: Identify training needs and provide opportunities for professional growth and development among team members.
  • Operational Efficiency: Streamline workflows and processes to optimize productivity and efficiency in the mammography department.
  • Communication: Foster effective communication among team members, radiologists, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field.
  • Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography (M).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a mammography technologist, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members. Proficiency in radiology information systems and other relevant software.
