Key ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision and in accordance with established protocols, the Interventional Radiology Technologist will:
- Act as a lead resource for personnel engaged in Angiography procedures while also fulfilling Angiography Technologist duties as necessary.
- Oversee workflow, delegate tasks, and guide staff in executing their responsibilities effectively.
- Monitor the performance of Angiography Technologists, addressing routine and complex issues to ensure safe and efficient departmental operations.
- Ensure that all prescribed diagnostic procedures adhere to departmental standards.
- Provide input for personnel evaluations, hiring decisions, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist in the management of performance improvement initiatives and handle scheduling and timekeeping for angiography technologists.
- Be available for on-call duties as required by the department.
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (RT), Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional (CV).
- Completion of American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training by the end of the orientation period.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months for adult settings or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 1 year for cardiology settings.
- A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in Interventional Radiology.

- Strong analytical and clinical skills to determine appropriate radiographic methods based on patient needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively instruct patients and collaborate with diverse hospital personnel.
- Technical proficiency in operating specialized imaging equipment and computers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a complex environment.
- Understanding of accreditation requirements set by the American College of Radiology.
- Physical stamina to perform frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate imaging equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images.
