Role SummaryUnder general supervision and in accordance with established protocols, the Interventional Radiology Technologist will serve as a lead resource for personnel engaged in Angiography procedures while also fulfilling Angiography Technologist responsibilities as needed.
- Oversee workflow, delegate tasks, and guide staff in executing their respective responsibilities.
- Monitor the activities of Angiography Technologists or assigned personnel, addressing routine and complex issues to ensure safe and efficient departmental operations.
- Assess the quantity and quality of work to guarantee timely completion of tasks.
- Ensure adherence to departmental standards for prescribed diagnostic procedures.
- Provide input for personnel evaluations, hiring decisions, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist in monitoring performance improvement initiatives and manage scheduling and timekeeping for angiography technologists.
- Be available for on-call or standby duties as required by the department.
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (RT), Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional (CV).
- Completion of American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training by the end of the orientation period.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire for those in adult settings or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 1 year for those in cardiology settings.
- A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in Interventional Radiology.

- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage with patients under stress and collaborate with diverse hospital personnel.
- Technical proficiency in operating specialized imaging equipment and computers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a complex environment.
- Knowledge of American College of Radiology accreditation requirements.
- Physical stamina for frequent movement and patient positioning.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity for operating imaging equipment and producing diagnostic-quality images.
