Position Overview

This role involves overseeing and coordinating the activities of the Interventional Radiology department, ensuring that all procedures are conducted safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a resource and guide for staff involved in angiography procedures.
  • Manage workflow, delegate tasks, and ensure adherence to established protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of Angiography Technologists, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental standards for diagnostic procedures.
  • Participate in personnel evaluations and provide input on hiring and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement initiatives.
  • Be available for on-call duties as required by the department.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (RT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI).
  • Completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) training from the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire for adult settings, or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within one year for pediatric settings.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in Interventional Radiology.
