Job OverviewWe are seeking an Academic Specialist for Global Perspectives to join our team of talented educators. This role will play a key part in shaping the educational experience of our students, particularly in the area of global perspectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum that fosters a deep understanding of the world's diverse cultures, histories, and societies. They will also work closely with teachers to design engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, and analytical skills.
About the Role- Salary: $62,000 - $82,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Location: Camden, NJ (or remote)
- Reports to: Department Chair
- Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement curriculum for global perspectives courses, ensuring alignment with state and national standards.
Collaborate with teachers to design engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, and analytical skills.
Provide professional development opportunities for teachers to enhance their knowledge and skills in teaching global perspectives.
Assist with the implementation of assessments and evaluations to measure student progress and achievement.
Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of global perspectives and incorporate best practices into the curriculum.

Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Education, History, Geography, or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in teaching or curriculum development.
- Strong knowledge of global perspectives and ability to develop curriculum that reflects this subject area.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
