Application Coordinator

As a key member of the Upstate University Hospital team, the Application Coordinator will serve as the lead implementation specialist and support contact for assigned applications. This role will serve as the liaison between users and vendors, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. The successful candidate will assist user departments in analyzing and designing system requirements, performing system building setup and testing, and analyzing and managing change requests. Additionally, this role will coordinate upgrades, provide end-user support and assistance, and recommend methods for using the system/data to improve performance. The Application Coordinator will also develop, modify, test, and maintain screens, menus, pathways, documents, reports, and program logic modules. This position requires strong interpersonal, communication, analytic, and computer skills, as well as a self-directed approach to work.
Responsibilities:
* Analyze and design system requirements in collaboration with user departments
* Perform system building setup and testing
* Analyze and manage change requests
* Coordinate upgrades
* Provide end-user support and assistance
* Recommend methods for using the system/data to improve performance
* Develop, modify, test, and maintain screens, menus, pathways, documents, reports, and program logic modules
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant professional work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Strong interpersonal, communication, analytic, and computer skills
* Self-directed approach to work
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge and/or use of Health Information Systems in a hospital setting, especially the Epic suite of products
* Experience working in a healthcare setting
* Epic RTE Certification, Epic Cadence, Prelude, and SER preferred
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8 am-5:00 pm, and as needed
