Job Summary:
Serves as a key coordinator in the Laboratory, responsible for specimen reception, order accessioning, labeling, delivery, and report preparation. Coordinates staffing and reviews employee entries to ensure efficient operations. Communicates regularly with Associate Technical Director and Supervisors to provide section updates and share information. Functions as an Instructional Support Assistant in the Laboratory, processing samples in the Core Laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications:

AAS Degree in a Science-related field or pertinent college-level courses, preferably related to the medical field or a combination of equivalent relevant education and experience required.

1 to 2 years of experience working in a clinical setting, with knowledge of medical terminology mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:
BS in a Science-related field and 4 years of prior laboratory experience. Working knowledge of laboratory theory, disease processes, and automation. NYS License or Limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician. Working knowledge of EPIC, Sunquest Information Systems, Networking, and PC's

Work Schedule:
Day shift, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays
