Job Summary

Rockland Federal Credit Union is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Deposit Operations team. As a key member of our leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and daily operations of our deposit accounts and payment systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deposit Operations Management
    • Manage a range of critical banking operations, including transaction processing, fraud review, and regulatory compliance.
    • Oversee daily operations such as check processing, electronic transactions, and payments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Develop and implement strategic plans for the deposit operations department that align with the credit union's overall goals and objectives.
  • Payment Product Development
    • Oversee the development, implementation, and management of payment products, including mobile payments, person-to-person payments, and emerging payment technologies.
    • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate and optimize technology solutions.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a cross-functional, high-performing team of deposit operations professionals, monitoring and managing performance and ensuring high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and member service.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key payments network providers, technology partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Negotiate contracts and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures related to deposit operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years' experience in the deposit/payment operations field, preferably in a credit union environment.
  • Strong industry knowledge and understanding of digital platforms.
  • Ability to develop strategic initiatives to enhance deposit and payment operations.
  • Understanding of the competitive landscape, best practices, and emerging trends in the financial industry.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address and resolve member issues effectively.
Work Environment

Full-time position, 40 hours/week.
