We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sea Logistics Customer Care Specialist, Export to join our team at Kuehne+Nagel. As a key member of our Sea Logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating export shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Export Shipment Coordination: Arrange for pick-up or inland transportation, book shipments, prepare necessary documents, and follow up with tracking and tracing to destination.
- Customer Service: Maintain communication with vendors, shippers, customers, carriers, and Kuehne+Nagel overseas offices throughout the process, ensuring seamless coordination and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Negotiation and Cost Management: Negotiate cost-effective rates with service providers to ensure maximum profitability and maintain standard operating procedures and customer profiles.
- Quote Management: Participate in quotes for overseas offices as requested and review information published on Kuehne+Nagel's Intranet system daily.
- Problem Resolution: Immediately report problems, operation disputes, or discrepancies to a supervisor, manager, divisional manager, or branch manager and resolve issues related to meeting client requirements and data input.
- Experience: 2 years' relevant experience in freight forwarding and 3+ years' current work experience in ocean freight forwarding.
- Knowledge: Good working knowledge of domestic and international geography, including countries, major cities, and seaports, as well as basic knowledge of U.S. Administration Regulations (FAA, FMC, EAR, Hazmat) and other government agency requirements.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, PC skills, and the ability to complete IMO Security training classes.
