Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site industrial energy efficiency and pollution prevention assessments to identify opportunities for energy conservation and pollution reduction.
  • Engage with clients to understand their technical needs and provide tailored recommendations or solutions.
  • Offer technical consultations on energy management systems, such as the 50001 Ready Program.
  • Assist businesses in applying for relevant grants and rebates.
  • Foster connections between Pennsylvania businesses and Penn State resources to support innovation, job growth, and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Master\u0027s degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, environmental science, management) and 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Six Sigma Green Belt, or LEED Green Associate are highly desirable.
  • Strong background in managing client relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement practices.
Work Environment:

This position is available at multiple Penn State campuses in the Southeast region of Pennsylvania.

Penn State offers competitive benefits to full-time employees, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans, in addition to tuition discounts (75% discount for spouse and children), and paid holidays.

Salary:

The salary range for this position is $86,500.00 - $129,500.00.
