Position Overview
As the Engineering Operations Team Leader within the Defense & Systems (D&S) sector, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and guiding the D&S DT Engineering Operations team. Reporting directly to the D&S DT Engineering pillar leader, your leadership will be essential in fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a dedicated team that oversees critical engineering applications, including Cloud infrastructure (AWS).
  • Establishing and managing a premier DT Engineering Operations organization that delivers exceptional operational support to our engineering clients, particularly as we transition to a DevOps framework.
  • Formulating and executing the operational strategy for engineering tools, influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding the business implications and significance of the tools developed and supported by your team, while contributing to the operational perspective of the development pipeline.
  • Gaining proficiency in the technologies utilized by the team, serving as both a technical leader and an active participant in operations.
  • Recruiting and retaining top talent to enhance the DT Engineering operations team.
  • Promoting diversity within the team, recognizing the value that varied experiences and perspectives bring to the organization.
  • Inspiring loyalty and commitment through inclusive leadership.
  • Applying your management knowledge, technical skills, and best practices to guide a small team of software developers.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience, or an Associate degree with at least 9 years of experience, or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 11 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software operations, IT operations, systems engineering, or related fields.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
