In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring we maintain our reputation as a reliable provider of aviation repair and maintenance services. Collaborate with your team to establish effective processes and practices that enhance efficiency and quality across our organization.
As the Operations Supervisor, your responsibilities will include planning daily operations, allocating manpower, and monitoring performance metrics to ensure that team members meet key objectives. You will engage with various departments to achieve operational standards and goals, manage special projects, and perform additional tasks as needed based on business requirements and your technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage daily operations, assign manpower, authorize overtime, and monitor employee productivity to achieve key performance indicators.
- Track daily throughput yields and make necessary adjustments to adhere to delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, supply chain, and engineering teams to meet operational standards and objectives.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to achieve strategic operational goals.
- Assist in capacity planning for equipment, workspace, and staffing based on anticipated workloads.
- Solve problems independently, maximizing available resources while effectively communicating and escalating issues to achieve objectives.
- Foster a team-oriented approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement within your area of responsibility.
- Create and maintain performance metrics to visually represent strengths and weaknesses within the team.
- Conduct necessary administrative tasks for effective cell management, including employee selection, pay administration, safety, counseling, and motivation.
- Participate in management teams to assist in developing and implementing strategic plans, budgets, and objectives.
- Exercise authority in hiring, training, performance evaluations, salary adjustments, promotions, and employee relations for direct reports.
- Undertake special projects as assigned.
- Perform additional operational tasks as required based on business needs and qualifications.
Skills Required:
- Strong skills in planning, organization, analysis, leadership, interpersonal communication, decision-making, and both oral and written communication.
- Proven project management capabilities.
- Proficient in using PCs within the current operating system environment.
- Familiarity with production management software.
- Understanding of company policies, processes, and compliance regulations.
- Strong logistics and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation in English is required for task completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of standard inspection processes in the aviation sector.
- Familiarity with the specific products of the business segment is advantageous.
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production setting is highly desirable.
