Job Overview
As a Pharmacy Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that accuracy, safety, quality, and regulatory standards are upheld on a daily basis. Your role will involve guiding and directing pharmacy associates to adhere to proper processes and procedures.
Core Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
- Lead by example to ensure the execution of departmental standards while delegating tasks as necessary.
- Support and mentor new pharmacy technicians through their training program.
- Provide day-to-day training and support for pharmacy associates.
- Maintain compliance with national and/or state registration, certification, or licensing requirements.
- Identify and coordinate training opportunities, including on-the-job and cross-training with supervisors.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of departmental processes.
- Actively participate in team meetings, addressing shift issues and concerns with management and facilitating communication back to the team.
- Assist the shift supervisor in developing and adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) while ensuring compliance among associates.
- Perform essential technician tasks on the production floor as needed.
- Guide associates to ensure adherence to established procedures, policies, and practices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, identifying areas for improvement and coaching associates as necessary.
- Collaborate with shift supervisors to determine daily tasks and direct associates accordingly.
- Fulfill the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Desired Qualifications:
- Any relevant experience in a pharmacy setting.
