Test Engineer

Location: Florence, KY

Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and sustain test process instructions (TPI) for production lines.
  • Educate production staff on testing methodologies.
  • Diagnose issues and conduct root-cause analyses.
  • Create intricate testing and diagnostic programs.
  • Write and maintain test scripts.
  • Configure high-end server systems.
  • Formulate comprehensive integration and testing strategies, including scheduling test plans and scripts.
  • Design and construct test fixtures and equipment.
  • Draft specifications and procedures for new product lines.
  • May oversee parameter settings and testing of customer samples.
  • Execute troubleshooting and root-cause investigations.
  • Install hardware into racks and manage cable labeling and routing.
  • Assemble systems according to design packages, including application and operating system installations.
  • Evaluate test equipment and its capacity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including tackling complex issues that necessitate analysis and data evaluation, along with interaction with leadership across various functional areas.
  • Capability to apply strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing equipment, including identification, maintenance, and calibration.
  • Experience in a start-up or change management environment within the manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with implementing a Quality Management System (e.g., ISO 9001) is preferred.
  • Ability to operate in both standard office settings, which may involve prolonged sitting, standing, and keyboarding, as well as in manufacturing environments that may present variable temperatures and noise levels.
  • Willingness to adapt to business needs, which may entail extended hours, occasional evenings and weekends, and potential travel for business meetings or training.
