As a Global Quality Specialist at Celanese, you will play a pivotal role in defining, orchestrating, and ensuring adherence to the Material SAP processes and Certificates of Analysis (COA). Your contributions will be vital in managing and configuring SAP controls for the global production of commercial materials within the Engineered Materials Division. This position offers the chance to engage in the design and upkeep of our SAP material governance program, which is crucial for our enterprise-wide data quality initiatives.
Given the importance of data integrity, this role necessitates extensive collaboration across various business sectors. You will regularly interact with corporate IT, as well as daily with our global production, regulatory, and technology teams. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to assist with the regional internal audit program.
Key Responsibilities:
- COA Management: Extract data, assess error types, identify root causes, and process Certificates of Analysis (COA). Oversee COA outputs and profiles within SAP.
- BOM and Inspection Plan Oversight: Manage and resolve SAP data for Material Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Inspection Plans. Ensure timely completion of all tasks assigned through the EVOLVE portal, utilizing tools for mass updates and Excel macros.
- Support Business Process Analysis (BPAs) in understanding errors and necessary corrective actions. 25% transactional involvement.
- Access SAP to extract data and generate custom reports, including ADHOC reports.
- Document issues and track systematic problems, test IT solutions, and implement permanent fixes.
- Conduct standard reporting using SAP, SM (Sample Manager), Winshuttle/Evolve, and BI; utilize QM10, MB51, and QA33 for data uploads and departmental reporting.
- Engage with the CG02, Product Stewardship module of SAP for connections to base SAP and reporting.
- Plan and execute all required process steps as outlined in our methodologies.
- Proactively identify, track, and resolve issues and risks impacting SAP applications.
- Meet service commitments for assigned deliverables and provide proactive updates on work status.
- Maintain professional interactions with internal and external global customers.
- Collaborate with third parties and vendors to enhance process efficiencies.
- Provide process expertise to IT for major projects and integrations.
- Act as Process Expert for Quality Master data (COA, Inspection Plan, COA Profiles).
Qualifications:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate business processes into technical requirements.
- Comprehensive functional and process knowledge of core business functions: order processing, delivery processing, scheduling, billing, pricing agreements, and rebates.
- Ability to assess the impact of processes or data across multiple functional areas or SAP modules.
- Strong data analysis and analytical skills, with the capability to debug and troubleshoot issues.
- Highly motivated and reliable, with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines while multitasking and prioritizing effectively.
- Familiarity with internal processes such as Request for Specification Change (RSC), New Product Entry Form (NPEF), Sample Manager (SM), and Quality Notification (QN) is advantageous.
- Experience with data/reporting software packages such as Tableau, Alteryx, BI, and PowerBI, or the willingness to learn.
