Tasked with welcoming visitors to the facility and delivering exceptional customer support to guests and the public.
Key Responsibilities (Illustrative Only)
- Encourages constructive and courteous interactions between guests and staff.
- Ensures that all visitors comply with facility policies and procedures (e.g., admission fees, age restrictions, etc.).
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the facility, its programs, and services, with the ability to address guest inquiries both in person and via phone.
- Accurately executes all opening and closing tasks, including cash drawer reconciliation, preparing funds for bank deposits, and completing required documentation.
- Maintains a tidy and organized workspace.
- Utilizes various office equipment and machines as necessary.
- Compiles and manages administrative records and documentation as requested.
- Participates in training sessions and staff meetings as needed.
- Adheres to the policies and regulations of the City of Mason and the Parks & Recreation Department.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the department's Infectious Material & Exposure Incident Policy and the facility's Emergency Action Procedures.
- Provides and documents necessary first aid or care within the scope of emergency training.
- Exhibits familiarity with all emergency protocols throughout recreational areas.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- General proficiency in computer operations and experience with Microsoft software.
- Ability to obtain and maintain current certification in American Heart Association Standard First Aid and CPR.
- Effective communication skills with the public, both in person and over the phone.
- Experience handling cash and preparing financial reports.
- Capability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
