Director, Technology Operations, Item Experience

Location: Bentonville, AR

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Technology Operations, Item Experience to lead our team in creating exceptional digital experiences for our customers. As a key member of our eCommerce team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance the item and list pages, ensuring seamless integration with marketing, events, and strategic merchandising experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategy and project execution for Walmart connected experiences, identifying customer and operational needs and developing plans and priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Site Operations, Catalog, Marketing, SEO, Design, Product, and more, to deliver key projects that span across multiple teams.
  • Own and drive strategic and operational planning, including vision, strategy, and roadmaps that align with our business goals and enhance the customer experience.
  • Monitor experience performance through analysis of key metrics and operational performance metrics, analyzing and reporting out on item page content quality, insights, and opportunities.
  • Ensure business and cross-functional partner needs are met by evaluating ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives, consulting with partners, and soliciting suggestions for improving overall item page and content experience.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8 years of related experience, or 10+ years of experience in site merchandising, content, eCommerce experience, tech operations, business consulting, corporate strategy, or related area.
  • Strong customer-centric perspective and ability to champion the needs of customers and stakeholders.
  • Intellectual curiosity, technical savvy, detail-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset, and willingness to take on challenges.
  • Ability to leverage data and insights to make informed decisions and translate analysis and insights into actions.
  • Leadership, team management, relationship building, organization, planning, and willingness to roll up sleeves and do what's necessary.
