About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at American Airlines. As a key member of our People Business Partner Team, you will play a critical role in driving business success through strategic HR services and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and leverage relationships at all levels of the organization to inform and assist business leaders in achieving their goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to client leaders, providing guidance and counsel on HR-related matters.
  • Work with business leaders to effectively lead and execute annual people initiatives, including talent development and employee relations.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on implementing solutions for employee relations issues and trends.
  • Consult with business and Team Member Experience groups on disciplinary and termination employment processes.
  • Implement success measures to coach leaders on proactive employee relations and avoid reactionary situations.
  • Foster a culture that is diverse and inclusive, aligned with the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Facilitate effective change management initiatives and develop team development strategies.
  • Proactively support leaders with talent initiatives, leadership development programs, and improving team member performance engagement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
  • 5 years of human resources experience, including 3 years in employee relations and 2 years of staff supervisory/management experience.
  • Familiarity with state and federal employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, and Title VII.
  • PHR/SPHR certification and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
