Position Overview
As a vital component of the statewide invasive species prevention initiative, this role focuses on protecting aquatic ecosystems and public resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections and decontamination of watercraft to mitigate the spread of zebra and quagga mussels, along with other Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS).
  • Utilize established protocols for inspecting watercraft and perform hot washes on high-risk vessels.
  • Engage in quality control activities at inspection stations, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • Set up and dismantle portable traffic signage as required.
  • Accurately record detailed inspection data using electronic forms.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail during inspections.
  • Ability to work in diverse weather conditions.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
