Job Overview:

In the role of Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be integral to the management and execution of our accounts payable operations. This position presents an excellent opportunity for individuals with a minimum of one year of experience in an office setting to transition into a focused accounting career.

Primary Duties:

  • Review and validate invoices for precision and completeness.
  • Execute and manage payment processes, including checks and electronic transactions.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and address any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Maintain thorough and organized documentation of accounts payable activities.
  • Assist in monthly and annual financial closing processes.
  • Engage effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment-related issues.
  • Provide support to other finance team members with administrative duties and reporting as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in an office environment, ideally with some exposure to accounting or finance responsibilities.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capability to handle sensitive and confidential information with care.
  • Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
