Project Kuiper is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at enhancing global internet connectivity by deploying a network of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Our goal is to deliver swift and affordable broadband services to communities that are currently underserved. We are in search of a talented individual to fill the position of GNC Subject Matter Expert specializing in Trajectory Analysis and Mission Design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative modeling strategies for analyzing satellite deployment dynamics
- Assist in Mission Design for Project Kuiper's portfolio with the US Government
- Offer technical guidance in Launch Vehicle trajectory planning
- Create tools for effective Mission Management planning for over 80 launches
- Collaborate with teams from launch vehicle vendors
- Employ orbit and trajectory tools to support mission conceptualization
Basic Qualifications:
- PhD or Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years of research experience
- Proficiency in satellite orbit modeling and simulation
- Familiarity with astrodynamics software such as STK, GMAT, FreeFlyer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering
- Experience in roles related to flight dynamics engineering
- Excellent communication abilities
