Job Title: Family Therapist/Clinician

Job Summary:

Mt. Prospect Academy is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Therapist/Clinician to join our team. As a Family Therapist/Clinician, you will provide culturally sensitive, therapeutic services to students and their caregivers, utilizing evidence-based practices and formal counseling techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for students and their families.
  • Provide individual and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and formal counseling techniques.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless care and support for students and their families.
  • Monitor and evaluate client services delivery, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and maintain community, governmental, and public resources and relationships.
  • Facilitate trainings for faculty on evidence-based family therapy practices.
  • Support crisis intervention within the milieu and the home.
  • Remain accountable to the AAMFT Code of Ethics.
  • Continuously research and implement current evidence-based practices to support personal, professional, and program development.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Minimum 1.5 years of experience counseling adolescents and/or families, preferably in home-based or residential settings.
  • Experience with evidence-based family therapy modalities preferred but not required.
  • Must complete background check.
