Job Title: School Social Worker

Job Summary:

Mount Prospect Academy is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team. As a School Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students. You will work closely with students, families, and school staff to address individual needs and foster a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with the Individual Education Plan (IEP) team to develop and implement counseling goals for students.
  • Student Support: Provide behavioral, emotional, and educational counseling to students, both individually and in groups.
  • Case Management: Develop and update Individualized Crisis Support Plans for each student, ensuring their unique needs are met.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, including case notes and service logs.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with current Evidence-Based Practices and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly Treatment Team meetings to monitor student growth and progress.
  • Community Resources: Develop and maintain relationships with community, governmental, and public resources to support student needs.
  • Training and Support: Facilitate trauma trainings for faculty and provide support for crisis intervention within the academic setting.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Licensure: Licensed or in process of being licensed through the NH Department of Education and NH Board of Mental Health Practice.
  • Certification: NH DOE Certification in School Social Work.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience counseling adolescents and families.
