Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Enhanced Patient Access Representative to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a key member of our patient access team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling: Register patients for multiple service lines within a facility, ensuring accurate and timely completion of demographic, financial, and clinical information.
  • Financial Screening and Counseling: Conduct financial screenings to identify potential funding sources and provide patients with clear explanations of their financial obligations.
  • Insurance Verification and Coordination: Verify patient insurance coverage and coordinate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure patients receive maximum benefits.
  • Customer Service and Communication: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Quality and Productivity: Maintain high-quality and productivity standards, ensuring efficient and effective registration processes.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience: Three years of customer service experience within the last five years, with a focus on negotiation and collection experience.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated typing proficiency and basic computer skills, with experience using registration software such as Tandem or iCentra.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual Fluency: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Registration Experience: Registration experience on Tandem or iCentra.
  • Data Entry and Clerical Experience: Data entry or clerical experience in a medical office setting.
Physical Requirements
  • Interpersonal Interaction: Interact with others requiring the ability to communicate information.
  • Computer Operation: Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
  • Vision and Reading: See and read computer monitors and documents.
  • Sitting and Standing: Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
